Overview

Legion Remix is a limited-time seasonal event that lets you replay the entire Legion expansion from level 10 to 80 in an accelerated way, with changes and twists compared to the “normal” game.
You need an active WoW subscription or Game Time. With a trial account you can only play up to level 20, but beyond that you need the full game.
You don’t need to own the Legion expansion: its content is already included with the Remix.undefined

Among the available Game Modes on the character selection screen, when the event is active, you’ll see the option for Legion Remix.
You can choose one of Legion’s 12 original classes.
Starting at Level 10 + Introduction
Your character begins at level 10 in Dalaran. You’ll go through a short series of introductory quests that explain the key mechanics: Artifacts, Bronze (the event currency), gear, Skyriding, the Infinite Bazaar, and more.
Interface and Initial Changes to Know
  • Artifact Management: a shared tree with different paths (Nature, Fel, Arcane, Storm, Holy). You can change perks/paths (“respec”) at any time.

Progression – What to Do to Power Up Your Character

🛡️ Gear

  • Gear drops from quests, world quests, dungeons, raids, and various rewards.
  • There are special chests like Cache of Infinite Power, rewarded for things like random dungeon completions or through Infinite Research.
  • Higher difficulty content (like Heroic World Tier) gives better chances at higher-quality gear.

🧱 Gear Scrapping

  • Unwanted gear can be scrapped to obtain:
  • Bronze
  • Infinite Power
  • This is done through systems like:
  • Unraveling Sands
  • Bazaar Forge

🔍 Infinite Research

  • A system of daily and repeatable missions that give you bonus objectives.
  • Examples: kill demons, complete dungeons, collect Bronze while Skyriding, etc.
  • You can store up to 6 days of missions in a bank (like a rested bonus), letting you skip a few days without losing progress.

⚠️Note!!! Bronze (Event Currency) Bronze is the main currency in Legion Remix. It is used to purchase cosmetics: mounts, transmogs, pets, toys, etc. It is not used to upgrade your gear.

How Gear Scaling Works

In Legion Remix, gear is no longer upgraded with Bronze (like in Mists of Pandaria Remix). Instead, you keep receiving new pieces of gear as your item level increases.

After reaching Level 80, Legion activity gear scales up to these initial caps:
  • Uncommon: iLvl 571
  • Rare: iLvl 578
  • Epic: iLvl 584

Some sources drop scaling gear: as your average item level increases, drops will appear 3–4 ilvls higher, up to the cap of iLvl 740.

Main sources of scaling gear:
  • Cache of Infinite Power (from Infinite Research dailies and dungeon queue)
  • Any Legion raid (all difficulties)
  • 10x Mote of a Broken Time (from various activities)
  • Mythic+ end-of-dungeon chests

Mythic+ gear also scales up to iLvl 740, but is tied to the key level completed. Every player always gets a piece of gear at dungeon completion. To reach 740 gear, you need to complete at least a +63 key.

Mote of a Broken Time

Once you hit level 80, you’ll begin receiving Motes of a Broken Time from various activities. Collecting 10 motes allows you to combine them into a guaranteed gear piece at your highest current iLvl (up to 740).

Scrapping Items in Legion Remix

While playing with your timerunner in Legion Remix, you'll run across many different items. With the nature of how gearing works in Legion Remix, you will come across many pieces of gear that you will not be using. For those, you can use the new ability you will gain during Remix:  Unraveling Sands.

This ability will summon Unraveling Sands that you can interact with to scrap items for  Bronze and Infinite Power for your Artifact Weapon. There will also be an Infinite Obliterum Forge at the Infinite Bazaar, where you can scrap pieces of gear in the same manner.

Armor in Legion Remix

Armor in Legion Remix works differently from Mists of Pandaria Remix.
It uses flat percentages for secondary stats instead of rating values.
Each armor slot always grants a fixed secondary stat:
  • Helm, Shoulders, Cloak → Mastery
  • Chest, Wrists, Gloves → Critical Strike
  • Belt, Legs, Boots → Haste
Versatility does not appear on armor — it comes only from your Artifact Weapon, via the Limits Unbound trait.
Armor quality defines stat strength:
  • Uncommon → small amount of primary & secondary stats
  • Rare → larger amounts
  • Epic → even larger stats + a guaranteed tertiary stat (Speed, Avoidance, or Leech)

Jewelry and Trinkets in Legion Remix

Unlike in Mists of Pandaria Remix, players don’t need achievements to unlock jewelry.
Once you reach level 20 on at least one character, jewelry (necklaces, rings, trinkets) can start dropping, and future alts can get them from the beginning of their adventure.
Jewelry does not provide secondary stats — instead, it grants additional ranks to Artifact Weapon talents, depending on its rarity:
  • Uncommon → +1 talent rank
  • Rare → +2 talent ranks
  • Epic → +3 talent ranks
These bonus ranks apply even if you’re not specialized in that artifact tree, allowing unique cross-spec talent combinations.
Jewelry drops from the same activities as normal gear across the Broken Isles, but there’s an extra source:
Once you reach level 80 with at least one character, Lidamorrutu at the Infinite Bazaar offers the daily quest “Make Haste, Not Waste”, rewarding a free random Epic jewelry piece at your current highest item level — a reliable way to reduce RNG while hunting for specific traits.
