Fitting in with the name of the patch, Undermine will give players a chance to dive deeper into goblin culture more than ever before. It is here where players will learn about Goblin problems, the values they have, and how they serve a key role in Azeroth's story.

Respec Knowledge Points

Keep in mind that Knowledge Points can only be reset once per Profession. Currently, there is no way to reset Dragonflight Professions, so players will only be able to use this feature for The War Within skill versions.

Players who wish to refund their Knowledge Points must look for Darla Fluxy, a new Goblin NPC located just outside the Artisan’s Enclave in Dornogal.

🔍 Darla Fluxy can be hard to spot, as there is currently another NPC sitting almost on top of her. However, look for her in front of the boxes to the right of the Crafting Orders NPC.

Talking to Darla will give you the option to reset your Specializations. From there, you will be able to choose from the Khaz Algar Professions you have currently learned.

New Swirlies Graphic

A long time mechanic of World of Warcraft, swirlies are getting a new look that makes them much easier to see in comparison to its older counterpart. Here's a few key changes:

The graphic is no longer one large swirl. Instead, the swirl animation is only seen in the border of the circle.
The rest of the circle is filled transparently to give a greater emphasis on where it is safe to stand.
The border of the swirl is much brighter than the rest of the graphic.

New System D.R.I.V.E.

Blizzard introduces a new customizable vehicle, the G-99 Breakneck, for adventures in Undermine. Thanks to the D.R.I.V.E. system (Dynamic and Revolutionary Improvements to Vehicular Experiences), players can travel faster than regular mounts, using a driving system with drifting and speed boosts.

After a few initial quests, Gas Grimeshank sends players to Nanny Talullah, who provides the vehicle and introduces them to delivery missions through the quest "License Not Required". Driving works similarly to mounts, allowing players to activate turbo and drift to gain extra boosts.

Players can customize the G-99 Breakneck by purchasing parts and colors from Mobber, improving features such as speed, acceleration, and handling.

They can also take on "Shipping and Handling" delivery jobs, receive missions directly while driving, and take advantage of Surge Pricing events for extra rewards. Additionally, Timekeeper challenges allow players to test their driving skills in time trials.

Reagents Vendor in Raid

In the PTR for patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft, new vendors have been discovered in the Liberation of Undermine raid, selling profession reagents—particularly Stormcharged Leather and Gloom Chitin—with no stock limits. This has caused a rapid decline in market prices for many materials, though higher-quality versions still retain some value.

If these vendors remain in the game, the related weekly quests will offer essentially free knowledge points for Skinning and Leatherworking, further devaluing Gathering professions. The introduction of a regional auction house had already severely impacted these professions, and the presence of these vendors could render them even less profitable.

Delves

Curiosity Upgrades: Now increase by 1 rank at a time; previous ranks must be obtained first. Now available in Heavy Trunk and Bountiful Coffer.

Delver's Bounty: Guaranteed after enough Delves, limited to one per character per week.

New Treasure Chests:

Nemesis Strongbox: Spawns in Delve level 4+, with rewards improving up to 4 ranks.
Gilded Stash: Found in level 11 Delves, lootable 3 times per week for 7 Gilded Crest.

Item Levels: Improved gear rewards from chests and crypt slots.

Increased Crest Drops: More crests in level 4+ Delves and Delver’s Bounty.

Brann Level Cap: Increased from 60 to 80, with faster leveling.

New Raid Feature: Renown Track

Blizzard has announced a new feature coming with patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft: a raid-exclusive Renown track, tied to the new raid Liberation of Undermine. This system will provide progressive power increases and cosmetic rewards for raiders, serving as an experiment to enhance the raiding experience.

Goals of the Raid Renown System

Enhance storytelling and raid immersion.
Clearly communicate progression and its benefits.
Improve the overall raiding experience (e.g., reducing downtime).
Be accessible to players who start later in the season.

How is Renown Earned?

Warband-wide progression, meaning it applies across all characters.
Earned exclusively by participating in the raid, with no difficulty restrictions.
A weekly cap of 1 Renown level, but latecomers can catch up quickly.
The raid contains 5000 reputation points per week, obtained from defeating bosses and elite enemies.
Catch-up system: players who fall behind will earn more reputation per kill to reach parity faster.

Renown Track Rewards

Power buffs: progressive increases up to +18% damage/healing.
Quality of life improvements: teleportation, boss skips, out-of-combat movement speed boosts.
Raid hub upgrades (Incontinental Hotel): profession stations, crafting NPCs, auction house access.
Cosmetic rewards: weapons, pets, the "High Roller" title, and the Furious Flarendo mount.
Special gear: at Renown 17 and 19, players receive items that can be upgraded to the maximum rank.

Awakening the Machine

The Awakening the Machine event is a new and exciting challenge introduced in Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft. Set in the Halls of Awakening within the Ringing Deeps, this event requires players to assist Speaker Kuldas, an Awakener responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of ancient and newly reactivated zones.

How to Start the Event

Location Head to Gundargaz in the Ringing Deeps to find Speaker Kuldas.
NPC Interaction Speak with Speaker Kuldas at coordinates /way 47.50, 32.03.Select “I’m ready for a challenge, Kuldas” to start the Challenge Mode.Select “I’m ready to continue” to play the normal Awakened Machine event.

New Challenge Mode in Patch 11.1

The biggest addition in Patch 11.1 is the Challenge Mode, which increases difficulty in several ways:

Increased Spawn Rate: Enemies spawn faster between waves, making combat more intense.
Continuous Waves: Unlike the previous version, you no longer need to speak to Kuldas every 5 waves; all waves occur without breaks.

Gameplay Mechanics

Starting the Event

After interacting with Kuldas, a UI prompt will allow you to click “Begin Maintenance.”

Defend Speaker Kuldas

Your objective is to defend Kuldas from 20 waves of enemies.

Checkpoints

There are no breaks between waves in Challenge Mode, but you will receive a checkpoint every 5 waves.

End Boss Encounter

After the 20th wave, a final boss will spawn. Defeating it completes the event.

Rewards

Players will receive a chest for every 5 completed waves, totaling 4 chests upon finishing all 20 waves.

Differences from the Old Awakened Machine Version

This mode is not the same as the previous Awakened Machine tested before The War Within expansion. However, the old version may return in future updates. Here’s how they differ:

Endless Waves: Players had to endure infinite waves of enemies, testing endurance and skill.
Borrowed Powers: Temporary buffs and abilities enhanced gameplay variety.
Diverse Enemies: Different mob types required players to adapt strategies.

Minor Changes

The new Warband Campsite screens now have their own tab in the Collections menu in-game. Players can highlight any Campsite screen they have yet to unlock to see how to obtain it.
