Overview of Changes

Blizzard has introduced major updates to Timewalking dungeons to offer a more authentic and balanced experience. These changes are meant to:

Increase dungeon difficulty,
Encourage players to learn class mechanics,
Reward those who optimize their gear.

Enemy and Boss Health

Enemy health has been increased in all Timewalking dungeons.
Boss health has been significantly increased to make encounters more challenging.

Difficulty Scaling Adjustments

Lower-geared players now take less damage.
Well-geared players now take more damage.

Item Level Scaling Fix

Enchantments, gems, trinkets, and borrowed power sources now scale properly.

Reward Changes

Timewalking dungeons now drop Adventurer gear (was Explorer).
Each dungeon now rewards 25 Timewarped Badges (was 10).

Baseline Item Levels (Based on Heirloom Gear)

Understanding the baseline item levels (ilvl) is key to optimizing performance in Timewalking dungeons. These values, based on character level, drive the scaling mechanics.

Scaling Adjustments:

Below baseline ilvl: Characters take significantly reduced damage.
Above baseline ilvl: Characters deal more damage, but also take more damage.
